Dallas hotel searches tend to split into four questions: where to stay downtown, how low a rate can go, which properties carry top-rated labels, and which rooms come with a city view or balcony. This article works through those questions using the listings and search titles we reviewed, and it flags where the sources disagree. Expedia’s 2026 Dallas top-10 guide advertises hotels from $54, a starting point we check against other platforms.

How we researched this
Last checked: 2026-11-02.
Sources reviewed: online travel agency listings, metasearch price pages, deal aggregator listings, search engine result snippets, and neutral review platform listing titles.
We did not conduct site visits, staff interviews, or live price checks, and we did not run a platform-independent price audit, so every rate here is an advertised snapshot that may differ from the quote you receive. Many figures come from single dated snapshots, so treat them as indicative.
Four named properties side by side
The sources name four Dallas properties. The table shows what the sources supply for each one, and where a column is empty, the sources contain nothing on that point.
| Hotel or listing | Area cue in sources | Price or rate signal cited | Feature cited in sources | Best-fit reader |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Omni Dallas Hotel | No area cue in sources | No rate in sources | Named in the Hotwire listing | Luxury-seeking travelers |
| Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown | Downtown Dallas (name) | $91/night, or $125 with taxes and fees for Nov 29–30 in the Expedia snapshot | Named in the Hotwire listing; appears in the Expedia snapshot | Downtown-focused travelers |
| Loews Arlington | Arlington (a separate city from Dallas) | No rate in sources | Named in the Hotwire listing | Luxury-seeking travelers |
| Kozy Hotel Dallas DFW Airport Area West | DFW airport area | No rate in sources | Named in the Hotwire listing | Budget-focused travelers |
Best fit by traveler priority
- Budget-focused travelers: The lowest rates in the research are $44/night for Motel 6 Dallas, Market Center (December 1–8) and $42/night at Dallas Love Field Inn. Neither is one of the four named properties, so check the airport-area option against those figures.
- Luxury-seeking travelers: Omni Dallas Hotel and Loews Arlington are the two named luxury candidates. The sources give no rate for either, so price them directly before comparing.
- Top-rated seekers: The sources contain no numeric ratings. Use the property’s own review data as the test, not the list titles in search results.
- City view and balcony seekers: None of the sources confirms a view or balcony for any named property. Confirm both with the hotel before you book.
Dallas hotels downtown
Downtown is the area most of these searches point to, but the counts in the sources are citywide. Hotwire lists 8,586 Dallas hotel deals, and Priceline compares 838 hotels in one listing. Neither figure is broken out by neighborhood. Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown is the only downtown-named property with a rate in the sources: $91 nightly, or $125 with taxes and fees, for November 29–30 in the Expedia snapshot.
The HotelsCombined Downtown Dallas page reports the cheapest month to book as June at $132 and the most expensive as May at $340. Its lowest 4-star price for tonight starts at $109. Hotwire’s FAQ says that staying downtown or near Dallas Love Field or DFW airports can be a good way to find a deal, naming DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas – Love Field and NYLO Las Colinas Hotel as examples.
Downtown Dallas hotels with Hilton
Hilton options show a wide price spread. The Hotels.com Downtown Dallas page recommends sorting by “Price: low to high” after applying filters and notes that mid-week or low-season stays typically bring off-peak deals. On Hotels.com’s last-minute page, Hilton Anatole is listed at $238 nightly, or $623 total. A Skyscanner Hilton page names Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre by the Galleria as the best Hilton price at $102. That page’s data is dated, so treat the figure as indicative. The property sits near the Galleria rather than downtown.
Booking tip: Sort by price after you apply your dates, and compare the total with taxes and fees, not just the nightly rate.
What this means: the cheapest downtown figure in the sources ($109 for a 4-star tonight) sits well above the $42 to $44 budget rates found elsewhere, so downtown is not the budget choice on these numbers.
Dallas hotels cheap
Priceline’s Dallas page shows its cheapest hotel at $44 nightly for December 1–8, at Motel 6 Dallas, Market Center. That is $64 below the typical $108 for those dates. Priceline’s average Dallas rates by star class are $35 for 1-star, $42 for 2-star, $59 for 3-star, $93 for 4-star and $172 for 5-star. The same listing says travelers who booked within a week of check-in paid about $66 nightly, compared with about $86 for bookings made two to three months ahead.
Momondo reports that the cheapest Dallas room found in the last seven days was $42 nightly at Dallas Love Field Inn, a 2-star property. It also names South Oak Cliff as the cheapest neighborhood, at an average of $79 nightly. Expedia’s cheap-hotels guide advises booking about three weeks ahead and sorting results by “Price: low to high.” Priceline’s listing also cites savings of up to 60% on exclusive rates.
Editor’s note: The $42 Momondo figure and the $44 Priceline figure come from different snapshots and definitions, so do not treat them as the same measure.
The catch: the cheapest figures are one-off snapshots on specific dates, and the 60% savings claim comes from one platform’s own listing. Both should be checked against the price on your dates.
Dallas hotels top rated
The sources contain no numeric ratings for any Dallas property, from any review platform. A Google search result snippet lists the top 10 hotels in Downtown Dallas, but the sources include no page URL and no rating scores behind that list. Treat the snippet as a lead to check, not as a verified ranking.
Expedia’s 2026 top-10 guide is a curated list, and the sources do not show the criteria it uses. A title that says “top” is not the same as a score, a review count, or a dated source.
Warning: Do not book on a top-rated label alone. Check the review score, review count and date on the property’s own listing before you pay.
What to watch: a top-rated search can return listing titles that cannot be verified from the sources in this article, so the rating test has to happen on the booking page.
Downtown Dallas Hotels luxury
The Hotwire listing names Omni Dallas Hotel and Loews Arlington. Neither listing comes with a rate or rating in the sources. Loews Arlington sits in Arlington, which is a separate city from Dallas, so it is not a downtown option. For price context, Priceline’s average 5-star Dallas rate is $172 nightly, and Hotels.com’s last-minute page lists Madison at $335 nightly, or $771 total.
Hotels.com’s last-minute options put high-end rates far above the $44 to $93 range most budget and mid-tier searchers see. Before booking Omni Dallas Hotel, compare its rate for your dates against the Priceline 5-star average.
Booking tip: For luxury stays, compare the rate with taxes and fees included, because the Expedia snapshot shows taxes and fees adding $34 to a $91 Magnolia rate.
The trade-off: luxury options in the Dallas results cost several times the budget rates, and the sources do not show whether the named luxury properties justify that difference.
Downtown Dallas Hotels with city view
A Google result is titled “THE 10 BEST Dallas Hotels with a View 2026 (Prices).” A title alone is not confirmation. The sources do not confirm specific view features for any named property. Momondo reports that Uptown is the most expensive Dallas neighborhood, at an average of $348 nightly, but its figures do not link that price to views.
Downtown Dallas Hotels with balcony
Balcony availability is not confirmed for any property in the sources we reviewed. Room type, floor and photos on the listing are the only checks available, and each should be confirmed before booking.
Editor’s note: A view or balcony requested in a search does not mean the room has one. Ask the property to confirm the room type when you book.
The bottom line: the view and balcony claims in the search results are unverified, so the view check belongs with the hotel, not the search listing.
Price bands by source
- Budget band, $35 to $44 nightly: Priceline’s 1-star average of $35 and 2-star average of $42, plus the $44 Motel 6 Dallas, Market Center rate.
- Mid band, $59 to $93 nightly: Priceline’s 3-star average of $59 and 4-star average of $93.
- Downtown 4-star floor, $109 nightly: The lowest 4-star price for tonight on HotelsCombined’s Downtown Dallas page.
- Upper band, $172 nightly and above: Priceline’s 5-star average of $172, and Hotels.com last-minute options at $238 and $335 nightly.
Trade-offs by property
Omni Dallas Hotel
- Pro: Named in the Hotwire listing.
- Con: No rate, area or rating in the sources, so the price cannot be compared.
Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown
- Pro: The only named property with a rate in the sources, and a downtown location from its name.
- Con: $91 nightly is more than double the $42 to $44 budget floors, and taxes and fees added $34 to the total in the Expedia snapshot.
Loews Arlington
- Pro: Named in the Hotwire listing.
- Con: Arlington is a separate city from Dallas, and the sources give no rate.
Kozy Hotel Dallas DFW Airport Area West
- Pro: Sits in the airport area that Hotwire points deal-hunters toward.
- Con: The DFW area is far from downtown, and the sources give no rate.
Our pick by traveler type
Our pick
- Budget-focused travelers: Kozy Hotel Dallas DFW Airport Area West, if an airport location works for your trip. The airport area is where Hotwire directs deal-hunters, but the sources give no rate for this property, so confirm the price first.
- Luxury-seeking travelers: Omni Dallas Hotel. The Hotwire listing names it but gives no rate, so compare its price with Priceline’s $172 5-star average before booking.
- Top-rated seekers: We cannot make a top-rated pick from these sources. Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown is the named property with a dated rate and a downtown location, so start there and check its review score directly.
- City view and balcony seekers: No named property is confirmed for views or balconies. Ask each hotel about room type before you book.
